You don't really have time to watch that and get in to the Disneyland Park for Illuminations as well when the Disneyland Park closes at 7pm, unless you can leave the Studios quickly and run fast! Last year it was in Videopolis Theatre in Discoveryland 5 times daily, but this year I think it is moving to Animagique Theatre in the Studios (Mickey and the Magician Show closes on 2nd September until next year). Mickey's Christmas Big Band is a fantastic show. It will be on again this year, but not until 16th November. Merry Stitchmas show was on Castle Stage 3 times daily. This began at 7pm on weekdays during this week last year, so I had time to watch that and get to a restaurant in the Village or hotels for dinner at 8pm, but one evening I left the park when Illuminations began and was seated in Annette's before it got busy.
Mickey's Magical Christmas Lights (tree lighting show on Town Square) was on once at 18.30 on weekdays, and 19.45 & 20.20 at weekends when the park closes later.ĭisney Illuminations show on the castle begins at park closing time and lasts just under 20 minutes. (on occasions the route may be reversed).ĭisney's Christmas Parade was on twice daily at 11.50 and 13.15, except on Monday and Tuesday when it only ran at 13.15. Last year from 25th November - 1st December 'Stars On Parade' began at 5pm daily in Fantasyland, ending in Town Square just before 6pm. (my favourite ones are Cafe Fantasia/ Main Street Lounge in the DLH, and Redwood Bar in Sequoia Lodge). I usually have my dinner quite late, after the parks have closed, or sometimes have my main meal for lunch instead which gives me more time to have drinks and relax in one of the hotels' bars after parks close. It will still be quite busy, but not as bad as weekends and holidays. I have often been in DLP at this time for Christmas season, and it isn't usually very crowded on weekdays before the school holidays begin. If you want to avoid a queue there for dinner it's best to get there before the main parade (Stars On Parade) ends or before Illuminations ends. Hi Louise and welcome!
